I really love the "rapid cognition" and "informed intuition" stuff in Chapter 9. Also, she re-emphasizes that ethics should not be thought of as a code or a class, but rather a process.

Yes an in having discussions with each other we can make better decisions in the future. Emphasizing that it is important to use informed intuition. And yes as it says in the book it would be nice for students to be given answers as I always wanted as a student. But as practicing professionals we know that it is impossible to do so as the famous words "it depends" echos in my head

"It depends" is so true! I think now after doing the readings I feel a bit more open to other's approaches as being just as good as mine...either more liberal or conservative. That construct helps me to see things more neutrally and with less judgement.

I'm not sure if defensive was the right word - but was nervous about getting feedback feeling that it was a judgement on my work.. I think the more experience you have the less you feel you have to prove to the world you are an interpreter but know it's about the work.
